"Captor and Captive - The story of Danger Ashipala & Johan van der Mescht" to premiere in November in Windhoek
Historians and film fans alike will enjoy the November programme of AfricAvenir's film series "African Perspectives". On November 26, AfricAvenir will premiere the South African documentary "Captor and Captive - The story of Danger Ashipala and Johan van der Mescht" in Windhoek.
At its centre the story contains the universal themes of war, love, pain, betrayal and forgiveness and will appeal to a wide audience. The film bears testament to the reconciliation between veteran soldier enemies and includes archive footage never been seen in Namibia before.
52-min documentary. An emotional story of two enemy soldiers who meet 30 years after an event that changed both their lives. In the process of distribution to various platforms.
